THE ASHTANGA FINISHING POSTURES: SLOWING DOWN AND SAVORING THE EXPERIENCE with Scot Hendricks Sunday, November 12th, 1:00 - 3:30pm

Would you like to feel more confidence, stability and ease in shoulder stand and headstand?

The transition into the closing sequence plays an important role in the Ashtanga practice--a signpost to yield, to slow down, to draw attention inward and expend less physical effort.
The overall feeling of the practice shifts to restorative and contemplative, while we meditate on the breath as it dramatically slows down and the count lengthens.

The finishing postures seal the energy of the practice, enabling us to step off the mat invigorated by our practice. Without this compliment to the vigorous Ashtanga sequence, we may be left feeling fatigued, and depleted of energy as we continue through our daily schedules.
This workshop will focus on a more complete understanding of the functional dynamics of these essential asanas, which play an integral role in the Ashtanga method. Together let's inspire to fully integrate the restorative and rejuvenating powers of these finishing posture!

all workshops are non-refundable within 1 week of the event
